Productive Conflict as a leadership skill
Little Pineapple designed and delivered a year-long leadership development program for 140 managers at DAP Health, a federally qualified health center system navigating a large merger that more than doubled their staff and clinics.
Kelsey and her colleague, Ashley, built a six-session series by co-designing with the managers and collecting stories and experience between each session to ensure the program responded to their real time needs. This adaptive approach was essential in a post-merger environment, where they were going through a change management process in tandem. What began as sessions where managers came to air frustrations evolved into a space of genuine ownership of DAP Health's new values.
After the kick off, the remaining sessions were:
Leading with Self-Awareness & Presence
Understanding Conflict Along a Spectrum
Building Towards Productive Conflict & Collaboration
Setting Boundaries & Prioritizing Values
Embedding New Norms
Throughout the engagement, Kelsey brought more than facilitation expertise. She came to the partnership with a deep understanding of the policy landscape, funding pressures, and — most importantly — the patients and communities whose health depended on DAP Health getting it right.
